Who is protected?
Federal law prohibits housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), disability, familial status, or national origin. Nevada law also protects ancestry and gender identity or expression.
How does that shape this site?
We describe homes and places, never the people who live there. Our community pages share facts such as homes, prices, costs, drive times, and amenities. We do not describe neighborhoods by who lives in them, and for schools and safety we link to official sources so you can judge for yourself.
Where can you report discrimination?
If you believe you have faced housing discrimination, you can file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) at hud.gov/fairhousing or 1-800-669-9777, or with the Nevada Equal Rights Commission. You can also tell us, and we will take it seriously.
