What is North Las Vegas like?

North Las Vegas is a city of its own, incorporated in 1946, with its own police, fire, parks, and water utility. It has grown from 262,527 people in the 2020 census to about 297,000 by the 2025 estimate. Older streets south of Craig Road have mid-century homes on small lots with no HOA, while most of what you see today went up after 2000.

Buyers usually come for more house for the money than in Summerlin or Henderson. The tradeoff is the drive, since the north end is farther from the Strip and the airport, and I-15 backs up at rush hour.

Aliante, opened in 2003, is the established master plan, with a public golf course, a nature park, and Sun City Aliante for buyers 55 and over. Newer building has moved north along the 215, into master plans like the Villages at Tule Springs. For time outside, there is Craig Ranch Regional Park, more than 70 miles of city trails, and the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument just north of town.
