Mountains Edge is a master plan in the southwest valley, south of Blue Diamond Road and west of Rainbow Boulevard. Focus Property Group began building in 2004, and it was the top selling master plan in the country in 2007 and 2008. It now has about 12,500 homes, from townhomes to larger two-story houses.
Parks are the draw. Exploration Peak Park has a hike to the summit and an Old West play area, and Mountains Edge Regional Park, Nathaniel Jones Park, and Paiute Park are linked by walking and biking paths.
There is no golf course and no guard gate, though a few enclaves have gates and their own association. Every home pays the master association, and many add a neighborhood fee. Many homes also carry a Special Improvement District assessment on the tax bill. It is in unincorporated Clark County, in Enterprise, with ZIP codes 89178 and 89139.
