What is it like to own a home on Aliante Golf Club?
Aliante is one of the easier golf communities in town to get into. The course is public, there is no club to apply to, and the houses are production homes from national builders, not custom estates.
Gary Panks laid out the course with water features and tree lined fairways, and it opened in late 2003, a few months after the first residents arrived. Around it the master plan put the 20 acre Aliante Nature Discovery Park, with a lake and an amphitheater, plus the library and Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa. Aliante is not gated as a whole, though a few neighborhoods inside it have gates of their own.
The tradeoffs are the same as on any course. Some holes send balls into patios, mowers run at first light, and golf lots come with rules on view fencing and planting. Water is tighter now too. The water district capped course watering at 4 acre-feet per acre starting in 2024, and courses across the valley have been turning rough into desert landscaping, so ask whether any of that is planned behind the home.
Last, remember that a golf course is a business. Ask who owns Aliante Golf Club today and what protects the land if it ever stopped paying its way. The northwest valley has seen that happen: Silverstone closed in 2015.

Golf lots usually require open view fencing and limit planting along the course. Ask whether turf removal is planned near the home.
